OUR MISSION

Raleigh North Christian Center is a non-denominational church that teaches the Word of God, that promote foundational truths and family values. Our mission is to impart a firm understanding of the Word of God and to provide Christians with sound Biblical teaching relevant to today’s changing times.

OUR HISTORY

In the summer of 1998, a Friday Night Bible Study was started in Southeast Raleigh by Pastor Jeff Chapman, Sr. As he began to minister to the men and women of Southeast Raleigh, he was able to see that they were searching for the Lord in all the wrong places with drugs, alcohol and prostitution.

During the summer of 1999, Pastor Chapman started Early Sunday Morning Services for a group of homeless people in Garner. Soon afterwards he began an Outdoor Church Service one Saturday in the Raleigh North Apartment area. Through these experiences, God prepared Pastor Chapman to start his own ministry.

In October of 2000, RNCC, the vision of Pastor Chapman came to pass. He started a Bible Study in his home with nine members. On December 2, 2000, six weeks later, RNCC had its first Sunday Morning Service. The first service was held at Our House Ministry on Hargett Street.

On December 10, 2000 RNCC began having Sunday Services at Carolina Pines Community Center and Wednesday Night Bible Study at Our House Ministry. RNCC’s congregation grew from 9 members to over 24 members while at Carolina Pines. On April 1, 2001 RNCC moved to Lions Park Community Center. This was where Pastor Chapman originally wanted to be, right behind Raleigh North Apartments. The Lord showed us FAVOR at Lions Park. The Director was a Christian and wanted to help as much as possible. With the help of the Director, RNCC was able to have Sunday Service and Wednesday Night Bible Study. Since moving from Lions Park, RNCC’s congregation has grown from 24 to over 700 members.
